What is the difference between Ombre, Highlights, and Balayage?
Ombre has a subtle fade from dark to light, and a reverse Ombre fades from light to dark. Hardly any streaks touch the root of the hair. One of the main reasons for this look is to make it appear as though it has grown out to look that way, very gracefully and very subtly without any line of demarcation. With highlights, the difference is that they touch the root with every foil you put in. Highlights can be streaky or blended in, depending on the look that you want to accomplish. Balayage is a freehand method of adding highlights to hair that will add dimension, showcase a haircut, and appear very natural. It’s almost as if you spent time in the sun without the damaging UV rays.
